Hard Bop influenced jazz quartet featuring Dave Newton on Piano. In 2016 Kevin recorded his debut quartet album "Influences" on the New Jazz Records label. This recording pays homage to the players who have influenced his own playing, with a mixture of original compositions, arrangements from the great American Songbook and the music of JJ Johnson.
Kevin Holbrough & Jamie Taylor Duo
Trombone and Guitar duo performing a mixture of original compositions and songs from the great American Songbook. Influenced by the duo recordings of JJ Johnson/ Joe Pass and Rob McConell/ Ed Bickert. The duo will be releasing their debut album in 2021.
The Kevin Holbrough/ Mark Chandler Quintet
Trumpet and Trombone led Quintet, influenced by the great recording "Heavyweights" by legendary musicians Trombonist Carl Fontana and Trumpeter Bobby Shew. Melodic and hard swinging, bop influenced playing with tight horn arrangements.

The 'Sound of '59' celebrates a pivotal year in jazz history, which saw the release of several iconic albums which paid homage to the tradition but also looked in new directions.
Charles Mingus 'Ah Um' , Miles Davis ' Kind of Blue', Dave Brubeck 'Time Out', John Coltrane 'Giant Steps', Ornette Coleman 'The Shape of Jazz to Come', Bill Evans 'Portrait in Jazz' are all points of reference for this exciting band.
